Le Village des Tortues

The Village des Tortues spans two hectares and houses 1,600 turtles from 50 different species in specially designed habitats and tropical greenhouses.

Founded in 1988 by SOPTOM organization, the turtle conservation center relocated from Gonfaron to Carnoules in 2017 to expand its operations.

The center conducts educational programs about chelonians, offering guided tours and presentations by animal caretakers to raise awareness about turtle conservation.

Located on the D97 road, twenty kilometers from Brignoles, the center welcomes visitors daily from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM throughout the year.

The facility maintains a veterinary center dedicated to rehabilitating injured turtles and leads programs to reintroduce Hermann tortoises into their natural environment.
