Zwierzaki Nad Potokiem Mini ZOO
Zwierzaki Nad Potokiem Mini ZOO is a small facility near Gdansk that houses over 30 animal species, including alpacas, llamas, ponies, emus, parrots, and smaller animals such as rabbits and guinea pigs. Visitors can walk around the grounds, observe the animals up close, and interact with them throughout the property.
The facility started many years ago with two zebras, later supplemented by a growing collection of birds and animals. Over time, emus, ponies, and other species were added until eventually a mini zoo opened to visitors.
The name comes from the stream running through the property. Visitors interact with the animals by hand-feeding and petting them, which gives children a direct connection to nature and teaches them respect for living creatures.
The facility is open Thursday through Sunday and easily accessible from the nearby highway with on-site parking available. A typical visit takes about 1 to 1.5 hours, allowing time for hand-feeding and close interactions with the animals.
Emus and ostriches can be hand-fed by visitors with fruits and vegetables, an impressive experience since these large birds reach up to 2.5 meters in height. This direct encounter with such large creatures leaves lasting memories for most visitors.
