Exaltation of the Holy Cross church in Pruszcz Gdański

The Exaltation of the Holy Cross church features stone walls, buttresses, ogival portals, and a polygonal stair turret on its southern side.

Built before 1367 under Teutonic Knights rule, the church transformed from a hall into a basilica after reconstruction following the Thirteen Years' War.

The church contains medieval vaults with pear-shaped ribs supported by carved consoles, representing traditional Gothic architectural elements from the region.

Located at Wojska Polskiego 2 street, the church maintains its original structure with three entrance portals and serves the local Catholic community.

During the 1462 conflicts, Polish settlers used the solid Gothic walls of the church as defensive fortifications against military attacks.
