華蔵寺公園遊園地, Theme park in Isesaki, Japan
Kazōji Koen Yuenchi is a theme park in the city of Isesaki, in Gunma Prefecture. The grounds hold around 13 rides, ranging from a large Ferris wheel and a roller coaster to smaller attractions suited to young children.
The park has been part of the local life in Isesaki for decades, drawing generations of families from the region. Over time, new rides were added to broaden the offer for children of different ages.
In spring, the park becomes a popular spot for hanami, the tradition of gathering under cherry blossom trees. In the evening, the blossoms are lit up, drawing visitors who stroll the paths after dark.
Entry to the park grounds is free, though individual rides require a small fee. A booklet of tickets is available and can be a good option for families planning to try several rides.
Despite having a roller coaster and a large Ferris wheel, the rides here cost very little, making this one of the few theme parks in Japan where families can spend a full day without a large budget. The parking lot is also free, which is rare for a park of this kind in the country.
