La Cité Nocturne presents nightly performances featuring theatrical effects, pyrotechnics, water elements, and elaborate stage designs across 55 hectares of forest grounds.
The park originated in 1978 from an amateur reenactment of regional Vendée history, evolving into a complex that now hosts multiple shows about European historical events.
Four distinct period villages within the park showcase authentic craftsmanship, including a medieval settlement and a French town from the early 1900s.
The park offers 27 dining establishments, from local cuisine restaurants to food stands, with advance reservations providing additional discounts during peak season.
Each evening performance accommodates up to 14,000 spectators who witness ships emerging from lakes, elaborate firework displays, and large-scale historical recreations.
