Randa Ardesca

Randa Ardesca is an archaeological theme park in Saint-Alban-Auriolles that features reconstructed Celtic buildings and structures. These constructions were built using experimental archaeology methods to show what techniques and materials people used in that era.

The association Helviorum founded this site to rebuild a complete Celtic settlement based on historical evidence. The buildings were constructed following traditional building methods to bring that past era to life.

The site shows how people in Celtic times carried out daily tasks and worked with their hands. Visitors can watch craftspeople demonstrate pottery, metalwork, and other traditional skills that shaped their community.

The site is best visited on summer evenings when guided tours and self-guided visits are offered. Wear comfortable shoes and plan to spend time enjoying both the layout of the settlement and watching craft demonstrations.

The site lets children and adults learn historical craft techniques like jewelry making and leatherwork by hands-on practice. Such direct experience with ancient methods creates lasting memories far beyond what observation alone could offer.
