Erlebnistierpark Memleben, Animal theme park in Kaiserpfalz, Germany.
Erlebnistierpark Memleben is an animal park in the Kaiserpfalz area of Germany, home to around 80 species in naturalistic enclosures, including tigers, zebras, parrots, and coatis. The park is laid out across several themed areas that visitors move through on foot or by rented vehicle.
The land where the park stands has been settled since early medieval times and was once connected to the Holy Roman Empire, with a royal residence nearby. The site later fell into obscurity before being developed into a visitor destination in more recent decades.
Sea lion shows take place regularly, with keepers explaining how the animals behave and what they eat. Watching from close range gives a clear sense of how the animals interact with people they know well.
The park has its own parking area and can be explored on foot, though rented vehicles are available for those who prefer them. Restaurants and restrooms are on site, making it practical for a full day out.
Villa Kunterbunt is a section where children can touch and feed mini pigs, emus, goats, and rabbits directly. Elsewhere in the park, visitors can try gold panning or bull riding, which are not common in a typical animal park.
