World of Discoveries, Interactive museum and theme park in Cedofeita, Portugal
World of Discoveries features twenty permanent exhibition areas that detail Portuguese maritime explorations through realistic recreations and multimedia presentations.
The museum documents the Portuguese navigators of the 15th and 16th centuries who established new maritime routes connecting Europe to Africa, India, China, Japan, and Brazil.
Through life-size scenarios and theatrical performances, visitors experience the maritime traditions and navigation techniques that shaped Portuguese exploration history.
The museum operates from Tuesday to Friday between 10:00 AM and 6:00 PM, with extended hours until 7:00 PM during weekends and public holidays.
A nine-meter tunnel simulates the Cape of Good Hope passage, while 4D globes and fog screens create an authentic navigation experience.
