Olcott Beach Carousel Park
Olcott Beach Carousel Park is a small amusement park by the water focused mainly on children's rides. The heart of the park features an original carousel from 1928 with painted horses, a restored Ferris wheel from the 1940s or 1950s, and a fire truck ride from 1946.
The park grew organically from a simple swimming area by the lake, gradually adding a few rides over the years. The iconic carousel was built in 1928 and has operated at this site since its restoration in 2003, preserving the original character throughout.
The park draws its name from the nearby Olcott Beach and represents the community's connection to the waterfront. Visitors observe how local families embrace a slow summer rhythm here, with children enjoying classic rides while adults sit and watch the water in a relaxed way.
Admission to the park is free and each ride costs only a quarter, making entertainment very affordable. An ATM in the arcade building is available since the park accepts cash only, and free parking is located nearby.
The Ferris wheel at the park originally came from a popular location in Niagara Falls and was later moved here, giving the site a special local history. Visitors experience a real piece of heritage that has connected different generations across decades.
