Daegwallyeong Ranch is a sheep farm and tourist attraction in Daegwallyeong-myeon, a mountainous area of Pyeongchang County in South Korea. The site sits at roughly 850 meters above sea level, with open grazing fields stretching across rolling hills and mountain views in every direction.
The farm was originally established for livestock grazing and is considered one of the first sheep farms in Korea. As the Pyeongchang region grew as a destination for visitors, the ranch gradually opened to tourism and took on its current role.
Many visitors come to feed the sheep hay and take photos with them, and the animals are calm enough to approach on their own. The farm draws families and school groups who want a direct encounter with farm animals in an open landscape.
The walking trail around the property is about 1.2 kilometers long and takes roughly 40 minutes to complete. The path is paved and can be managed with a stroller, though the entrance involves a steep climb up to the main farm area.
A small wooden shack on the property was used as a filming location for a Korean movie in 2003, and it still draws visitors who recognize it. From the highest point of the trail, on a clear day, you can see all the way to the sea in the distance.
