Alpensia Cross-Country Centre, Winter sports stadium in Daegwallyeong-myeon, South Korea.
The Alpensia Cross-Country Centre spans across kilometers of mountainous terrain with specialized trails for Nordic skiing competitions and training. The facility features a network of courses with varying difficulty levels and approximately 54 meters of elevation change.
The centre opened in 1995 as a regional Nordic skiing facility and underwent major renovations before the 2018 Winter Olympics. The infrastructure was upgraded specifically to meet international competition standards.
The facility is part of the larger Alpensia resort, where Asian hospitality meets European winter sports traditions. Visitors experience a blend of local and international sporting culture here.
The site is most accessible during the winter season when the trails are groomed and ready for cross-country skiing. It is wise to bring warm clothing and proper equipment, or arrange rentals before your visit.
Outside the winter season, golfers use the same trails as a golf course called Alpensia 700. This allows the grounds to stay active throughout the year.
