Biryong Falls, Waterfall in Seoraksan National Park, South Korea

The 50-meter high waterfall cascades down granite cliffs, forming multiple streams of water that converge into clear pools at different levels.

The national park authorities designated protected trails and viewing platforms near Biryong Falls in 1970, establishing it as a natural monument.

The name translates to Flying Dragon Falls, derived from local tales of water sounds resembling dragons ascending toward the mountains.

The hiking trail extends 5 kilometers from the visitor center, with stone steps and a suspension bridge leading to observation points.

During winter months, the entire waterfall transforms into vertical ice columns, creating natural formations that attract winter photographers.
