Sinheungsa, Buddhist temple at Seoraksan National Park, South Korea

The temple complex contains a main hall, multiple gates, and a 14.6-meter gilt-bronze Buddha statue mounted on a 4.3-meter lotus pedestal.

Established in 653 by monk Jajang under the name Hyangseongsa, the temple underwent multiple reconstructions after fires in 699 and 1645.

The temple maintains the Jogye Order traditions of Korean Buddhism and offers educational programs about Buddhist principles and meditation practices.

Visitors can reach the temple by taking a bus from Sokcho city to Seoraksan National Park entrance, with departures every ten minutes.

The temple houses a bronze Buddha statue constructed with donations from 300,000 people, containing crystallized remains and original Buddhist scriptures.
