Cour du Château

Cour du Château is a large stone courtyard situated at the base of Menthon-Saint-Bernard castle, featuring thick walls and traditional medieval architectural details. The space remains open and uncluttered, with views of the surrounding fortifications that define the castle's structure.

The courtyard is easily accessible on foot with mostly flat surfaces and few steps to navigate. Wear sturdy shoes since the stone pavement can become slippery when wet or damp.

The castle directly inspired Walt Disney's design for Sleeping Beauty's castle in his theme parks worldwide. Visitors often recognize the distinctive tower and wall shapes when exploring the courtyard's layout.
