Stone bridge in Olchowiec, Tourist attraction in Olchowiec, Poland

Most kamienny w Olchowcu is a stone arch bridge from the 19th century in the village of Olchowiec, in southeastern Poland. It crosses a small stream called Olchowczyk and was built using broken sandstone gathered from the nearby riverbed.

The bridge was built in the 19th century to serve as a daily crossing for villagers moving between parts of Olchowiec. It was listed as a protected monument in 2007, and a full restoration was carried out in 2016 to secure its structure.

The bridge is easy to reach on foot along a trail that passes through the village, and no special equipment is needed to visit. There are no facilities nearby, so it is a good idea to bring water and a snack before heading out.

The stones of the bridge were fitted together without mortar, held in place only by their shape and weight, which is why the arch has stayed intact for so long. The bridge leads directly to an Orthodox church dedicated to the Relics of Saint Nicholas, pointing to the religious and ethnic diversity of this part of Poland.
