The church features a central dome mounted on a Greek cross plan with architectural elements influenced by Kievan church designs.
Built in 1914 with financial support from Lemko emigrants in the United States, the church sustained severe damage during the 1944 Dukla-Presov military operation.
The building serves two congregations simultaneously since 1992: Greek Catholics under Saint John Chrysostom and Roman Catholics under Our Lady of Częstochowa.
The church underwent multiple restoration phases between 1966 and 1971, transforming it from near ruins to a functional religious building.
The structure reflects the Ukrainian national architectural style of the early 20th century, designed by Rudnicki from Lviv.
