Aleja Gwiazd

Aleja Gwiazd stretches about 400 meters along the beachfront promenade of Międzyzdroje, displaying bronze plates with handprints and autographs of Polish artists. The path runs directly beside the sea, creating an open-air gallery of entertainment figures accessible to all visitors.

The promenade was established in 1996 during the inaugural Stars Festival, with actors including Beata Tyszkiewicz and Daniel Olbrychski among the first to leave their handprints. The project grew over time, attracting more renowned artists who added their contributions to this evolving collection.

The promenade displays handprints and signatures of Polish film and theater personalities, creating a walk-through gallery celebrating national entertainment. Visitors encounter the work of various artists as they stroll, experiencing how the country honors its performing arts figures in this outdoor setting.

The promenade is open throughout the day and evening, with lighting that makes it comfortable to visit at any time. The path is flat and easy to walk, allowing visitors of all abilities to explore the plates at their own pace.

New artists are selected through public online voting, allowing citizens to choose who deserves recognition on the avenue. This democratic process means each visit offers the chance to discover a recent addition to the collection.
