Marriott Skopje, Hotel in central Skopje, North Macedonia
The Marriott Skopje is a five-star hotel located directly on Macedonia Square in the center of Skopje, North Macedonia. The building was designed in an Art Deco style and has 180 rooms, including suites and a presidential suite, along with a spa, a restaurant, and a bar.
The hotel was built as part of the Skopje 2014 urban project, which aimed to reshape the appearance of the capital. Though originally planned for 2013, the building was completed in 2016.
The hotel sits on Macedonia Square, the main gathering point of the city, where concerts, public events, and celebrations take place throughout the year. Staying here puts guests right in the middle of daily city life, with the square serving as a natural extension of the visit.
The hotel sits directly on Macedonia Square and can be reached on foot from most parts of the city center. The front desk is open around the clock, so guests can get assistance at any hour of the day or night.
The building was designed by a team of Austrian architects, which sets it apart from most of the other structures in the Skopje 2014 project. The top floor features a rooftop garden where visitors can sit and look out over the square and the surrounding streets.
