Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de Luján, Neo-Gothic church in Uribelarrea, Argentina
The church exhibits architectural features including twin spires, stained glass windows, and a main entrance facing the central plaza of Uribelarrea.
Miguel Nemesio de Uribelarrea commissioned the church in memory of his wife Manuela, with architect Pedro Benoit completing its construction in December 1890.
The parish received sanctuary status in 2010 during Uribelarrea's 120th anniversary celebrations, becoming the first church in the Diocese to obtain this rank.
Visitors can attend regular Sunday services and explore the churchyard where the remains of founder Miguel Nemesio de Uribelarrea rest.
The church served as a filming location for the 1996 movie 'Evita' directed by Alan Parker, though it was not directly visible in the final scene.
