Navarro train station Belgrano, Railway museum in Navarro Partido, Argentina
Navarro train station Belgrano is a former railway station of the Ferrocarril General Manuel Belgrano line in Navarro, Argentina, now operating as a railway museum. The building dates from the early 20th century and retains its original architectural features, while the exhibition rooms display historical objects and documents related to rail operations.
The station opened in 1908 and served as a key transport hub for the region. Passenger service ended in 1978, after which the building was converted into a museum.
The museum displays photographs, tools, and documents showing how railways shaped life in Buenos Aires province over the decades. These items reflect the everyday role that rail transport played for local communities.
The station is easy to reach on foot and gives direct access to both the railway architecture and the exhibition rooms inside. Coming during daytime is a good idea, as natural light makes it much easier to take in the exhibits.
In 2022, a historic train ran on the line for the first time in 44 years, hinting at the possibility of partial service restoration. This showed that preservation efforts here go beyond keeping old objects on display and aim toward getting trains moving again.
