Founded in 1897 as the first National Commercial School for Women, the institution moved through different locations before settling in its current building.
The school follows the educational principles of Johann Pestalozzi, incorporating a progression from concrete to abstract learning in its commercial education program.
Students receive specialized training in business and commerce subjects, preparing them for administrative and financial sector careers through theoretical and applied coursework.
The central courtyard with palm trees remains as the sole survivor of three original patios that formed part of the 1865 residential structure.
