Camping à la ferme Les Clos du Lac, Farm campground in Aiguines, France
Camping à la ferme Les Clos du Lac is a farm-based campground at 600 meters elevation with about 20 individual pitches overlooking mountains in the Verdon Regional Nature Park. The terrain is grassy and spacious, with each camping spot separated and framed by views of the surrounding landscape.
This campground emerged when farms began offering camping spaces, a practice that spread across Provence starting in the late 1990s. Opening farm land to campers became a way for local farmers to generate income while introducing visitors to rural living.
The farm operates using traditional methods that visitors can observe during their stay on the property. You get a sense of how rural life works in this region through daily activities and local products available on site.
Each pitch has electrical hookups with hot showers and dishwashing stations nearby, plus parking space right at your tent. The mountain location means evenings cool down noticeably, even during summer months.
Just three kilometers from Lake Sainte-Croix, this site offers direct access to the Gorges du Verdon, Europe's largest canyon. Many campers do not realize they can reach the canyon rim on foot or by bike in under an hour from here.
