L'Acacia, Campground near Hourtin Lake, France
L'Acacia is a campground situated near Hourtin Lake with around 25 camping pitches spread across one hectare of pine forest. The site sits approximately 900 meters (2,950 feet) from the water's edge and provides a quiet setting for outdoor stays.
The site began operations in the middle of the 20th century and helped develop camping tourism in the Gironde region. This period marked the growth of leisure facilities across the lake area.
The campground connects visitors to local Médoc traditions through its proximity to wine routes, ancient lighthouses, and the Saint Helen Church of Hourtin.
The site operates from mid-June through late September and provides water, toilets, washing machines, and WiFi for guests. Basic facilities are available to make your stay convenient and comfortable.
Many pitches receive natural shade from native trees while remaining open enough to access lake activities and forest trails nearby. This balance between shelter and freedom makes the place work well for different visitor preferences.
