The campground was established as part of the town's effort to develop coastal tourism infrastructure in Brittany. It has operated continuously as a key facility for visitors to the region since its creation.
Located along the GR 34 hiking trail, the campsite connects travelers to traditional Breton coastal paths used by customs officers in past centuries.
The facility operates from April through September with accessible amenities and laundry services on site. Visiting during shoulder months offers milder weather and fewer crowds than peak summer.
Between October and November, the site becomes a free motorhome area for overnight stays. This allows visitors to experience the quieter autumn season on the Brittany coast.
