Les Saules, Campground in Sussac, France
Les Saules is a campground with 36 pitches spread across roughly 4 hectares of mixed open fields and wooded areas. Most plots have electrical connections, and there are rental units available to suit different visitor preferences.
Originally developed as a naturist site, the grounds were transformed into a family-focused campground following a change in ownership in 2018. This shift opened the location to a wider range of visitors.
The name refers to the willow trees scattered throughout the grounds, grounding the experience in the local landscape. Visitors notice how these trees shape the layout and give the place its rural character.
The site operates seasonally from May through September and benefits from advance booking, especially during weekends. Access is via rural roads through the Haute-Vienne countryside, making personal transport useful.
A spring-fed lake with a sandy beach occupies about 2000 square meters on the property, allowing swimmers to enjoy water activities without leaving the grounds. This feature is uncommon for a forest campground in the area and draws many visitors.
