Aire de bivouac des Yourtes de Yayla, Mountain campsite in Le Pontet, France.
Aire de bivouac des Yourtes de Yayla is a campground with three traditional yurts and two Inuit tents set among forests, alpine meadows, and wetlands. The structures spread naturally across the terrain in the Belledonne massif region.
The campground was founded in 2012, inspired by Central Asian mountain villages. Yurts have served as seasonal homes in high altitude regions for centuries.
The place serves as a gathering point where people cook and eat together. Visitors share meals and meet guests from different regions during their stay.
The site accommodates up to 75 guests and provides four showers and six sinks. All visitors have access to modern communal kitchens with indoor and outdoor cooking areas.
Guests actively participate in daily meal preparation as part of their stay. They can cook anything from pizzas to cakes using both the indoor facilities and outdoor fire pits.
