Camping municipal, Municipal campground in Vallées-d'Antraigues-Asperjoc, France.
Camping municipal is a small campground with approximately 20 grass pitches beneath trees along the road toward Aizac, with separate sections for larger motorhomes. The spaces offer basic, nature-focused accommodation in a rural setting.
The campground was established over two decades ago and retained its original, straightforward structure. It sits at the base of a village known for its basalt peaks, which have shaped the local landscape for millions of years.
This site reflects how visitors connect with the Ardèche region, where the river valleys and surrounding landscape shape the local character. People use it as a base to explore the nearby villages and natural areas.
The site is open from May through October, with reception staffed from 6 PM to 7 PM and accepting cash only. Arriving earlier in the day helps secure a good pitch and complete check-in without time pressure.
The site sits about 6 kilometers from the thermal station at Vals-les-Bains, giving campers easy access to hot spring baths. From here, visitors can reach mountain trails and volcanic rock formations directly without traveling far.
