Camping les Roches, Riverside campground in Vogüé, France.
Camping les Roches spreads along the Ardèche with around 100 pitches set on natural terraces between limestone cliffs and Mediterranean plants. The pitches sit on several levels across the slope, creating varied landscapes throughout the grounds.
The campground opened in 1965 under family management dedicated to protecting the natural surroundings. Over the decades it has become an established lodging option along the Ardèche river.
The site sits next to Vogüé, a village with medieval stone houses typical of the Ardèche region. Visitors can walk directly to the narrow streets and old stone buildings of the settlement from the campground.
The grounds have two swimming pools, tennis courts, and volleyball areas, with a restaurant open during summer months from June through September. Note that pitches sit at various levels and some are reached by steps or pathways across the slope.
The facility uses natural rock formations as barriers between pitches, giving each spot privacy through stone structures. This stone architecture creates both separation and gives the grounds a distinctive character.
