Tourist train Aix

The tourist train travels through narrow streets of Aix-en-Provence while providing digital audio commentary in eight different languages through individual headsets.

Since its introduction, the train has transported visitors past monuments dating from Roman times, including ancient thermal springs and the Saint-Sauveur Cathedral.

During the 40-minute journey, passengers listen to compositions by Andre Campra and Darius Milhaud while passing through the Cours Mirabeau and Place des Augustins.

The train departs from the Cezanne statue near Office de Tourisme, with tours running between 14:15 and 17:15, requiring arrival 15 minutes before departure.

The electric-powered train incorporates period sound effects, including carriage wheels, fountain water, and horse hooves to enhance the historical experience.
