Vana Nava Hua Hin Water Park, Water park in Hua Hin, Thailand
Vana Nava Hua Hin Water Park is a water park in the coastal town of Hua Hin, in Prachuap Khiri Khan province, Thailand, featuring water slides, pools, and play areas set among tropical plants and trees. The park is laid out so that greenery surrounds most of the rides and pools, making the setting feel closer to a garden than a standard theme park.
The park opened in 2014 and was home to two firsts for Thailand: a professional underwater photography studio and the country's largest water slide at that time. Those early additions helped establish the park as a reference point for water-based recreation in this part of Southeast Asia.
The Tree Top restaurant serves Thai dishes made with local ingredients from the Hua Hin region. Guests eat at an elevated spot overlooking the park and the surrounding greenery, which gives the meal a very different feel from a typical theme park lunch.
The park sits on the edge of Hua Hin town and is easiest to reach by taxi or private car. Visiting on a weekday tends to mean shorter waits than on weekends or Thai public holidays.
One of the rides, Aqualoop, starts with a trapdoor drop that leaves riders weightless for a moment before sending them through a looping tube. Many visitors say the sound of the door releasing is the most startling part of the experience.
