NaturTherme Templin, Water park in Templin, Germany.
NaturTherme Templin is a thermal water park in the town of Templin, in northeastern Germany, fed by local mineral springs. The site has both indoor and outdoor pools, water slides, a wave section, and a sauna area spread across a large single complex.
The facility opened in the early 2000s, making use of the mineral springs that lie beneath the Uckermark region. It grew over time, with the sauna and wellness sections added to what was originally a more straightforward thermal bath.
The NaturTherme sits in the Uckermark region, where outdoor recreation near lakes and forests has long been part of local life. Bathing in warm water surrounded by a natural setting feels like a natural extension of this regional habit.
The complex is large enough that a visit can easily take half a day or more, so it helps to arrive without a tight schedule. Some areas, such as the sauna section, may require a separate entry, so check this before going in.
The outdoor pool stays open throughout the year, including in the middle of winter when the air temperature can drop well below freezing. Swimmers float in warm mineral water while steam rises around them and snow covers the surrounding ground.
