Terma Bukovina, Water park in Bukowina Tatrzańska, Poland.
Terma Bukovina is a thermal bath complex in the mountain village of Bukowina Tatrzańska, Poland, featuring several indoor and outdoor pools along with lodging facilities. The pools are filled with mineral water pumped from a depth of approximately 2400 meters below Wysoki Wierch Mountain.
The facility taps deep water formed over the past ten thousand years within the rock layers of the Tatra range. It emerged as part of the thermal spa development in the Podhale region during recent decades.
The name combines the Latin word for hot springs with the village name, which refers to beech forests that once grew in the valley meadows. The complex blends mountain architecture with modern spa design and fits into the landscape of the Podhale basin.
The bath opens daily from 9 AM to 10 PM and includes dining areas and more than 150 rooms for overnight stays. The elevation of roughly 1000 meters (3280 feet) calls for warm clothing when moving between outdoor pools and indoor spaces.
The water temperature stays between 30 and 38 degrees Celsius (86 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit) year-round without artificial heating or cooling. The pools sit at roughly 1000 meters (3280 feet) elevation, which allows outdoor bathing even in winter while the mountain air remains cold.
