Plage des Gouillauds

Plage des Gouillauds is an ocean beach along the Atlantic coast with fine golden sand and clear water bordered by wooded land. It provides good conditions for surfing and other water activities, with sand dunes rising behind the shoreline.

This beach is open throughout the year with free parking available, making visits easy to arrange. Bring your own equipment for surfing or kite flying, as rentals are not available on site.

This unguarded beach is one of Île de Ré's main spots for beginner surfers, with reliable wave conditions year-round. Being next to a wooded area makes it an unexpected place to enjoy both forest and ocean at the same time.
