Destilerías Arehucas, Rum distillery in Arucas, Spain
The Arehucas Distillery houses 4,308 American oak barrels for aging their spirits in a specialized storage facility within the production complex.
Founded in 1884 as La Fabrica de San Pedro, the distillery received recognition from Queen Regent Maria Cristina of Austria as Official Supplier to the Royal House.
The facility represents a cornerstone of Gran Canaria's industrial heritage, producing the leading rum brand in the Canary Islands for over five decades.
The distillery offers guided tours from Monday to Thursday between 9:30 and 14:00, and on Fridays until 18:00, with an entrance fee of 8 euros.
Visitors can observe the complete rum production process from raw materials to bottling, concluding with a tasting session of various spirits from the collection.
