Church of San Juan Bautista, Gothic Revival church in Arucas, Spain
The church features four spires, a central bell tower reaching 60 meters, and extensive stonework made from dark local materials of Gran Canaria.
Construction of this Catholic church began in 1909 under architect Manuel Vega i March, with completion of all elements extending until 1977.
The interior houses a collection of religious art, including a 16th-century Christ figure, Flemish paintings, and stained glass windows by Maumejean et Freres.
Located at Calle Párroco Cárdenes 3, visitors can reach the church by bus line 210 from Las Palmas to Puente de Arucas station.
Local farmers and stonemasons participated in constructing this church, which stands on the site of the original 1515 parish establishment.
