Zalew na Piaskach, Artificial lake in Cholerzyn, Poland
The reservoir spans 64 hectares with sandy beaches along its shores, extending 1.5 kilometers in length and 400 meters in width.
The water body emerged from a former sand quarry, transforming an industrial site into a recreational destination near Krakow's western border.
Local residents and visitors gather at this water recreation center for swimming, sailing, windsurfing, and kayaking throughout the summer season.
The facility operates daily from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM, offering monitored swimming areas with water visibility reaching up to 4 meters near the surface.
The lake features underwater vegetation zones up to 6 meters deep, while complete darkness occurs at depths between 6 to 8 meters.
