The park was founded in 1973 on the grounds of a former botanical garden that belonged to the Moldovan Academy of Sciences. It has grown since then with expanded collections to serve a larger audience.
The park functions as a community gathering space where outdoor events and performances bring people together throughout the year. Locals use its pathways and open areas to socialize and experience entertainment in nature.
The park has three entrance points spread around its perimeter and is open daily, making it easy to visit at any time of day. Comfortable shoes are recommended for walking the paved pathways throughout the grounds.
The park contains specialized sections where plants from different parts of the world grow side by side. Visitors can discover plants from Europe, Asia, and the Americas in one location, as if traveling through multiple continents.
