Mobster Bar - the speakeasy, Speakeasy cocktail bar in 11th arrondissement, France
Mobster Bar is a cocktail lounge near Oberkampf metro station accessed through a vintage telephone booth entrance. Inside, the space features Art Deco design with geometric patterns, Tiffany-style lamps, and coffered ceilings.
The bar was founded by brothers Francisco and Javier Lozano, who had previously run the successful Mobster Diner. Its design draws from the Prohibition era of the 1920s in Chicago.
The name reflects its inspiration from Prohibition-era speakeasies in 1920s Chicago. Visitors experience the feeling of stepping into a hidden bar where the vintage telephone booth serves as a gateway to a different time.
Entry requires solving two riddles at the telephone booth entrance and dialing the correct answer to gain access. The space can get crowded on weekends, so weekday visits may offer a more relaxed experience.
The venue operates as a hidden bar accessible only after guests successfully complete an entrance puzzle. This interactive element transforms each visit into a small adventure that goes beyond the typical bar experience.
