Kąpielisko miejskie, Public outdoor swimming area in Górzno, Poland
Kąpielisko miejskie is a public outdoor swimming area on the shore of Lake Górznieńskie in Górzno, Poland. It has a sandy beach, a wooden pier with marked swimming zones, a diving platform, kayak and pedalo rentals, and a snack bar.
The site was first opened to the residents of Górzno several decades ago as a summer gathering spot. It was renovated in the 1990s, which gave it the general layout visitors see today.
The swimming area sits on Lake Górznieńskie and draws families from the surrounding towns throughout summer. Many visitors bring their own food and spend the whole day by the water, making it a relaxed gathering spot rather than a quick stop.
The area is open daily from June through August, and weekdays are noticeably less crowded than weekends. Lifeguards are on duty at the water, and there is parking nearby with footpaths leading directly to the shore.
The wooden pier divides the water into sections for different swimming abilities, so beginners and stronger swimmers share the same lake without getting in each other's way. At sunset, the pier offers a wide view over the open water that draws visitors even after swimming ends.
