Plage des Conches, Atlantic beach in Longeville-sur-Mer, France
The Plage des Conches extends over 15 kilometers along the French Atlantic coast, featuring extensive golden sand dunes and pine forests bordering the shoreline.
The beach has maintained its natural state since the early 20th century, when local authorities decided to preserve the dunes to protect inland areas from ocean storms.
The northern section of the beach connects several established camping communities that represent traditional French summer holiday culture since the 1960s.
Visitors can access the beach through point 13, which offers a lifeguard station during summer months and provides parking spaces 600 meters from the shore.
The southern section of the beach presents exceptional surfing conditions that match the quality of renowned spots on the Basque coast and Landes region.
