Plage de la Jument
Plage de la Jument is a sand beach at the tip of Pointe du Conguel in Quiberon that remains untouched by tourism development and stays quiet even during peak season. Low dunes line the shore while rocks mark each end of the beach, and views of nearby islands and small islets dominate the seascape.
The area historically served as a refuge for fishermen and their boats, and the name may derive from ancient Breton traditions. Over time the beach remained relatively unchanged, preserving its natural character without modern tourist facilities.
The beach holds significance in local Breton culture as a gathering place for fishermen and residents throughout the generations. Its undeveloped character reflects how the community values preserving the natural coastal landscape without commercial interference.
Two access points exist with the western entrance being easiest from the free parking area at the start of Pointe du Conguel. The eastern access is difficult in wet or windy conditions because of rocks and should be avoided for safety reasons.
At low tide hidden rock areas and small coves become exposed, allowing visitors to gather shells or spot crustaceans under stones. These regularly revealed details make each visit a different exploration experience.
