Plage de la Bergerie

Plage de la Bergerie is a sand beach along the eastern coast of the Giens Peninsula with fine sand and gentle slopes into the Mediterranean, extending about three kilometers. The shoreline is lined with restaurants and shops where visitors can find refreshments and conveniences.

The name comes from sheep farms that operated in the area during the 1800s, marking the pastoral heritage of this coastal region. This origin shows how the location transformed from rural farmland into a modern seaside destination.

Today the beach draws water sports enthusiasts who take advantage of steady winds for windsurfing, kitesurfing, and paddleboarding. The shoreline has become a meeting place where athletes gather throughout the year to practice their skills in reliable conditions.

Free parking, showers, restrooms, and accessibility facilities are available along the shore for all visitors. Plan to bring sun protection since shade is limited along the entire length of the beach.

From this beach you can see the Îles d'Or archipelago, including Porquerolles Island, which creates different views at sunrise and sunset. This distant view makes each visit feel different depending on the time of day.
