Cala Pischina

Cala Pischina is a sand beach on the northern Sardinian coast stretching over several hundred meters with fine sand and shallow waters. The shoreline is bordered by pine trees and low vegetation that shelter the beach from stronger winds.

The beach sits in a region used by seafarers and fishermen since ancient times. Over the centuries, this part of the Gallura coast kept its natural form while many other Sardinian shores changed.

Fishermen have worked these waters for generations using methods passed down through Sardinian coastal families. The local community views this shore as part of their inherited landscape and uses it for daily maritime activities.

The beach is reached via the SP90 road heading toward Santa Teresa Gallura, with parking available near the shore. The sand is fine and easy to walk on, and calm waters make it suitable for swimming throughout most of the year.

The beach location creates special wind patterns that attract windsurfers during summer months and give the water distinctive movement. These natural currents have made it a favorite spot for wind and water sports enthusiasts.
