Cala Fetente

Cala Fetente is a sandy beach in Bari with clear Adriatic waters backed by tall limestone cliffs. The shoreline curves gently, creating a sheltered cove that feels separate from the busier city beaches nearby.

The beach served as a working harbor for local fishermen starting in the early 1900s, when boats would launch from this cove. Over time, it gradually transformed into a destination for swimmers while retaining its connection to the sea.

The beach maintains its role as an evening social center where residents of Bari congregate to share meals and participate in community activities.

The beach is easy to reach on foot and has basic facilities like showers and loungers available. Come during warmer months when the water is comfortable for swimming and the cliffs catch the afternoon sun.

At low tide, rocky formations near Torre di San Vito create natural pools where you can float in isolated pockets of water. These basins form from centuries of wave erosion carving into the limestone.
