Torre Pozelle

Torre Pozelle is a beach area on the Adriatic coast of Apulia that stretches across several small bays separated by natural rock outcrops. The water is clear, and the rocky formations create sheltered swimming areas within each cove.

A 16th-century watchtower was built on the cliff above the beach to defend the coast against raids. This fortification was part of a defense network that extended along the entire Adriatic shoreline.

The name comes from the tower that overlooks the bays, marking the area's connection to maritime history. Local fishermen still work these waters using traditional methods that reflect how communities here have lived with the sea.

Access is easy, with parking available near the dunes and paths leading down to the shore. The terrain slopes gently, making it accessible for different abilities and suitable for visitors with children.

The waters are so clear that you can watch dozens of crabs and octopuses on the seabed, especially in the shallow parts of the coves. These creatures are not shy and often appear on warm days.
