Castelreggio

Castelreggio is a coastal beach in Sistiana along the Adriatic Sea, stretching around 250 meters with fine gravel and pebbles as the seabed. The site sits near the Duino cliffs and provides changing rooms, showers, and a beach bar with rental sun loungers.

The beach developed as a bathing facility in Sistiana Bay near Trieste and has served swimmers and beach visitors since its early days. This coastal bathing tradition has shaped the recreational habits of local people across many years.

Access runs from May through September, and parking is limited so arriving early is wise. Visitors should check reservation requirements before heading out and plan to arrive during quieter morning hours when possible.

Below the surface, stones and sea grass create natural homes for fish and marine creatures just meters from shore. This shallow underwater zone allows curious swimmers and snorkelers to watch sea life without venturing far from the beach.
