The Silesia beach features a 100-meter sandy shore on a peninsula within a 9.5-hectare lake, surrounded by rocky escarpments reaching 17 meters in depth.
The water reservoir originated from an inactive marl quarry, which resulted in the formation of a rainwater and groundwater-fed lake with turquoise-tinted waters.
Local residents from Opole and surrounding towns like Turawa, Krapkowice, and Brzeg gather at this location during summer months for water recreation.
Visitors can access the beach via two cycling paths from central Opole, with parking available along Kępska Street and near two bus stops.
The lake maintains a consistently cool temperature due to its significant depth and partial shading from surrounding rock formations.
