Praia Fluvial dos Olhos d'Água do Alviela

The Olhos d'Água do Alviela river beach features multiple water mirrors, green areas, and recreational structures along the cold spring waters.

Since 1880, the Alviela River has supplied water to Lisbon through a 114-kilometer gravitational aqueduct system managed by EPAL.

The Science Center Carsoscópio provides educational programs about water conservation and local geological formations for students and researchers.

The beach area includes restrooms, a restaurant, a playground, picnic zones, and sports fields, with the swimming season extending from June to September.

The surrounding caves serve as a summer shelter for 5,000 bats, which visitors can observe during special nighttime activities using ultrasound devices.
