Praia Fluvial de Cardigos is a river beach on the Vergancinho Dam waters with grassy zones, shaded areas, and straw umbrellas. The space includes a sandy shore section and a designated swimming zone featuring small waterfalls.
The Cardigos area shows traces of Roman settlement, with archaeological finds uncovered in the nearby Ortiga region. These discoveries reveal how people lived along this river valley in ancient times.
Local traditions of the Medio Tejo region are maintained through seasonal celebrations and events organized at the riverside beach during summer.
The beach has barbecue areas, picnic tables, showers, and restrooms available to visitors. An access ramp is provided for people with reduced mobility.
