The extensive water basin at Fernandaires Beach stretches along dense forests of maritime pines and strawberry trees near the Castelo de Bode dam.
Established as a recreational area following the construction of the Castelo de Bode dam, the beach has developed into a central water destination in central Portugal.
Local families gather at this inland beach during summer months, maintaining regional traditions of riverside leisure and community gatherings.
The beach maintains regular hours from Monday to Friday 10:00-18:00, Saturday 11:00-18:00, and Sunday 10:00-18:00, with lifeguard supervision during swimming season.
The site features the first WakeBoard resort constructed worldwide, complemented by a floating swimming pool and an inflatable water park.
