Praia Fluvial de Fernandaires

Praia Fluvial de Fernandaires is a river beach on a large reservoir with shallow areas for swimming surrounded by forests of maritime pines and shrubs. The water here fills a basin created by a dam upstream.

This beach was created after a dam was built that flooded the river valley to form a reservoir. Over time it became an important swimming destination for people in central Portugal.

This beach was home to one of the world's first wakeboard parks, making it a special place for fans of that water sport. There is also a floating swimming pool and an inflatable water park with various rides and games.
